WITH the AFLW season fast-approaching, preparations are well and truly in full swing for the upcoming campaign.
Some of Carlton’s injured players are currently in the process of ramping up their training ahead of the season’s commencement in January.
Here’s where a trio of Blues currently stand:
Gab Pound (shin)
Pound is beginning to integrate into training drills and is still aiming to play in Round 1: she has been managed after sustaining a stress reaction in her shin.
Brooke Walker (knee)
Walker underwent surgery in early July following a meniscus injury. The dynamic forward is ticking all the boxes in her recovery and is on track to be available in Round 1.
Mimi Hill (knee)
Hill is currently in a strength and conditioning phase as she continues her comeback from the ACL injury sustained in Round 6 last season. Currently tracking well for the 2022 season, the Blues will take all necessary precautions with the youngster and will only be made available to play when she is completely ready.
