After a promising debut season was interrupted by injury, Mia Austin proved exactly why she was so highly touted at the Blues as a first-round draft selection in the 2022 AFLW Draft.
Playing all 10 games in 2023, Austin finished the season as the Blues’ leading goalkicker, as an elite contested mark that has an ability to finish in front of goal.
Working closely with Darcy Vescio since arriving at IKON Park, Austin has made the forward line her home in Navy Blue. She participated in six VFLW games over the off-season in preparation for the 2024 campaign, where the 20-year-old slotted six goals.
