Inaugural father-daughter selection Abbie McKay has emerged as one of Carlton’s key midfielders in recent years, emerging from a 2020 campaign where she didn’t feature at AFLW level to then play four consecutive seasons without missing a game.
Her breakout at the highest level has seen her finish runner-up in the Blues’ Best and Fairest for the last two campaigns as a crucial cog of the Blues’ on-ball brigade.
Named co-vice captain alongside Mimi Hill in 2024, McKay - who is set to play game No.50 in 2024 - will be looking for another strong season in the midfield and looking to use her growing leadership to drive standards amongst an emerging group.
