Blake Acres arrived at IKON Park in the off-season of 2022 and quickly became a fan favourite in his first season in Navy Blue.
He had previously played 120 games across St Kilda and Fremantle, before adding another 25 for the Blues in 2023.
There’s no question about Acres’ ability to transition to Carlton, missing only one game for the year due to suspension. The 28-year-old was an integral cog in Carlton’s best 22, playing an important role on the wing alongside the likes of Matt Cottrell and Ollie Hollands, proving to be a leader on and off the field.
His ability to impact at both ends of the ground saw game-saving plays both in the backline as well as on the goalline.
