BRODIE Kemp will make his long-awaited Carlton debut this weekend.

After a near two-year wait since being selected in the first round of the 2019 NAB AFL Draft, Kemp has been named to get his chance this Saturday against Port Adelaide.

It’s a significant moment for the 20-year-old, who has overcome knee, back and ankle injuries to enjoy a consistent run of form at reserves level in recent months.

Touted as one of the most versatile prospects in his draft class two seasons ago, Kemp earned his reputation as a defender before also spending time up forward and in the midfield.

It’ll be down back where Kemp makes his start at senior level, having flourished as a defender capable of playing on all sizes and using his reading of the play to intercept in the back half.

Carlton’s full team will be announced at 6:20pm, for what will be club great Marc Murphy’s 300th and final appearance in the Navy Blue.
