SAM Walsh has been selected for the 40-man AFLPA 22under22 squad for the third year in a row. 

Having been selected in the final team for the last two years, another stellar season in the Navy Blue means it's highly likely Walsh will make it a hattrick of selections.

With two games remaining in the season, Walsh is averaging just shy of 30 disposals a game, 11 contested possessions and has slotted a career-high 12 goals for the season so far. 

In his third year at the Blues, Walsh has only elevated his standing in the competition, emerging as a strong leader on and off the field and willing his team over the line in close games.

Walsh will be eligible for the 22under22 squad one more time, with the young star turning 22 in July next year.
