CARLTON will be without Patrick Cripps for this Sunday’s clash with Collingwood.
After being named in the initial squad of 26 last night, Cripps has been withdrawn from the contest against the old enemy due to soreness.
He is joined as an exclusion by Lachie Fogarty, who has been managed.
In their place, the Blues have backed in speed, with Zac Fisher returning to the line-up for his first game since Round 14 after recovering from an ankle injury.
There’s also room in the 22 for Matthew Cottrell, who has received a recall after a best-on-ground performance in last week’s VFL scratch match. Cottrell was last week's unused medical sub.
It makes it a trio of inclusions for the Blues, with Liam Jones named last night as a starter following a week off with a back injury.
Announced as an omission from the squad last night, Will Setterfield has now been named as an emergency due to Cripps’ exclusion.
One of Fogarty, Josh Honey, Lochie O’Brien or Setterfield will be named as the medical sub an hour before the bounce.
Sunday’s game begins at 3:20pm and will be played in front of an empty MCG: the game will be shown live on Channel 7 in Victoria.
