FOR the third time this season, Sam Walsh has received a perfect 10 votes by the AFL Coaches Association. 

The unanimous best player on the ground, Walsh gathered a game-high 36 disposals (at 86 per cent efficiency), including 11 contested possessions, nine score involvements and four clearances.

He also rounded out his showing with two classy goals in the final term.

While Carlton struggled to make the most of the ball going forward, Walsh was instrumental in taking possession and moving the ball down the ground, recording 452 metres gained while running 14.6 kilometres.

Walsh now sits fourth on the AFLCA leaderboard (73), only six votes behind leader Clayton Oliver (79). 

Jacob Weitering also received votes in the Round 17 clash, earning two votes for an outstanding defensive performance. 

While the Blues' defence was under heavy fire, Weitering was able to keep Tom Hawkins goalless, as well as providing nine intercepts and leadership in the absence of Liam Jones (injured).
