Carlton was one of the more aggressive clubs in the AFL’s Trade Period last year and the strategy paid dividends.
After losing Eddie Betts to the Crows through free agency and trading Shaun Hampson to Richmond, Carlton secured Dale Thomas, Andrejs Everitt and Sam Docherty. All three players had a big impact on the field for the Blues this season, and all three finished in the top 10 for the John Nicholls Medal.
With the trade window almost upon us again, Carlton’s recruiting team is busy exploring its options.
