PROUDLY presented by Virgin Australia and Austbrokers, the signature event was the first of its kind to be held at the Palladium at Crown since the pandemic began, with the ballroom brought to life with over 1,000 guests in attendance.
Uniting businessmen and women from over 143 diverse organisations, which make up the Carlton IN Business network, members made the most of the afternoon mingling and maximising their business opportunities with other like-minded people.
Carlton President Mark LoGiudice addressed the room, proudly highlighting the power and success of the Carlton IN Business network in cultivating genuine business opportunities, while also thanking all members and partners for their support of the program.
“Carlton IN Business is the largest corporate network in the Australian sporting landscape, which is now 143 members strong across Australia. This is a testament to all of our Carlton IN Business members and partners,” LoGiudice said.
“There are new relationships being formed every day. There are many introductions being made and doors being opened, and importantly, there is real business, real deals being transacted across the network.
“Our network is only as strong as the engagement of our members and we acknowledge their genuine appetite to consider value and offer value.”
In a significant moment of the function, but importantly for the Carlton Football Club, LoGiudice announced that the Club and Virgin Australia were continuing their proud partnership, with the airline to also continue as a Co-Major partner of Carlton IN Business, focusing on small and medium business customers and Australian corporate travellers looking for great value and service.
Emceed by sports presenter Jason Richardson, the Major Luncheon hosted a number of distinguished guests, including Virgin Australia CEO and Managing Director Jayne Hrdlicka, who took to the stage as the function’s guest speaker.
Honoured to share in the afternoon, Hrdlicka provided an insight into the challenges that the airline faced in 2020, detailing the journey of the organisation over the past 12 months as it now embarks on its 20th year.
“It is a huge honour to be here today – the loyalty runs deep between Virgin Australia and the Carlton Football Club. It is a strong partnership and we’re very intent on continuing that long into the future,” Hrdlicka said.
“With 143 members, as the largest corporate network in the country, Carlton IN Business is making a difference for everyone in the room.
“It’s been a tough year for all of us, but I’d encourage everyone to not lose sight of the new skills that we’ve picked up during a really difficult period. Continue to expect the unexpected, be able to adjust.”
Thanks to Virgin Australia, one lucky guest also took home two Business Class tickets to an Australian domestic destination of their choice.
