THREE Blues have earned the opportunity to pull on the Carlton jumper against the arch rival on Sunday.
After solid form at reserves level, Paddy Dow and Matthew Owies have been recalled to the senior line-up ahead of the clash with Essendon.
They have been joined by the fit-again Luke Parks, who comes straight back into the team after recovering from a hamstring injury.
It will be both Owies and Parks’ first taste of the home of football, with neither having featured for Carlton on the MCG.
Fact: it is THE closest fixture in VFL/AFL history.

Ahead of the 250th instalment between us and Essendon, look at some of the key historical numbers against our arch rivals.
They come into the line-up in place of the injured Marc Murphy and Zac Williams, while Sam Petrevski-Seton and last week’s medical sub Matthew Kennedy have been omitted.
Murphy has been ruled out of tomorrow’s game after experiencing neck soreness as a result of a collision at training on Thursday, while Williams is out with soreness.
The Club will assess Murphy throughout next week to determine is availability against the Bulldogs.
Kennedy and Petrevski-Seton have been joined by Will Setterfield and Tom Williamson as the emergencies, with the Blues to lock in their medical sub an hour before the game.
The game will also mark Jacob Weitering’s 100th AFL appearance. The reigning John Nicholls Medallist will become one of the youngest Carlton players in the history of the Club to reach the milestone.
Looking forward to seeing a lot more of this man in the Navy Blue. ?? pic.twitter.com/2xrrz1bDIz

Meanwhile, Tom De Koning and Nic Newman will return via the VFL tomorrow at Windy Hill, with the game kicking off at midday.
Both AFL and VFL games will be shown live on Channel 7 in Victoria.
