ZAC Williams will make his long-awaited Carlton debut on Thursday.

The former Giant, who arrived at the Blues at the end of last season as a free agent, will put on his boyhood club’s colours for the first time tomorrow night.

Williams is expected to line up at the centre bounce for the Round 2 clash with Collingwood, alongside Patrick Cripps and Sam Walsh who starred in the season opener.

He’ll run out onto the home of football alongside Jack Martin, who has been added to the senior line-up for the first time this season after missing last weekend with a calf injury.

It’ll also be Martin’s first appearance in front of a Victorian crowd after arriving at the Blues on the eve of the 2020 season.

Jack Silvagni was ruled out earlier in the week with a shoulder injury, while Lochie O’Brien has been omitted.

Oscar McDonald - who impressed as the inaugural medical substitute last weekend - has once again been named as an emergency, alongside potential milestone man Eddie Betts, Matthew Kennedy and O’Brien.

The Blues will nominate their medical substitute an hour prior to the bounce.

Thursday night will see key forward Harry McKay notch up his 50th AFL game in Carlton colours, while Marc Murphy will tie Justin Madden on 287 games to become equal-sixth on Carlton’s all-time games tally.

The Round 2 encounter begins at 7:20pm AEDT from the MCG, with tickets still available.
