Carlton looks set to regain Troy Menzel for Sunday's match against Brisbane at Etihad Stadium.
Menzel returned from a calf injury with the Northern Blues on the weekend.
He didn't take part in the final quarter after experiencing hamstring tightness, but scans have cleared Menzel of any damage.
The news is not good for swingman Lachie Henderson.
Head of Football Andrew McKay says Henderson has been ruled out for the Mother's Day clash after leaving the ground injured against the Magpies.
"Lachie Henderson came off the ground against Collingwood with some hamstring tightness and the scans showed a very minor strain," McKay said.
"He will miss this week and possibly come back next week or the week after – we will have to see how he goes at training in the next couple of weeks."
Matthew Kreuzer is set to line up for his first game of the season and will play for the Northern Blues against Frankston on Sunday.
Dale Thomas, Simon White and Ciaran Byrne are all on track to return in a fortnight.
