TWO Blues have polled in the AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award votes for strong performances against the Kangaroos in Round 5.
For the second week in a row, inaugural Blue Darcy Vescio has been acknowledged for her strong showing in Carlton’s forward line.
Despite the loss to a determined North Melbourne, Vescio finished the match with two goals, two marks and two tackles for her efforts in Launceston.

First-year Blue Mimi Hill was the second Blue to poll in the Round 5 clash, the youngster collecting one vote for the breakout performance.
Hill caught the attention of Bluebaggers in the clash, slotting her first ever AFLW in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s match.
Once she had opened her account, there was no stopping Hill who quickly followed a first goal with a second.
Hill finished the Blues’ best on Saturday night, collecting 13 disposals and three marks in just her fifth AFLW game.
