WITH the season set to officially kick off this weekend, the first round of the 2021 VFLW season has been confirmed.
The VFLW Blues will have the home ground advantage in the opening round with Carlton set to take on the Casey Demons at Ikon Park on Saturday 27 February at 2.00pm

Bluebaggers will be a treated to a stacked day of women's football on Saturday, with the VFLW Blues first hit out setting the stage for when Carlton face North Melbourne in Launceston that evening.
For the first time in the competition's short history the VFLW and AFLW seasons will run concurrently for the remaining nine rounds of the home-and-away season, giving AFLW listed players the opportunity to expand their game and make their case for AFLW selection.

Ally Bild has been announced as captain of the Blues’ VFLW side for 2021.
Carlton defender Ally Bild has been announced as captain of the Blues’ VFLW side for the 2021 season who will lead alongside veteran Jen Lew, who will take up the role of vice-captain.
The remaining VFLW fixture will be confirmed as the progresses in consultation with AFLW fixturing updates.
