Tough young midfielder Nick Holman has earned a call-up for his second AFL game and will line up for Carlton in Sunday's clash with the Gold Coast at Etihad Stadium.
Holman made his AFL debut in Round 22 against Port Adelaide last year.
His inclusion comes on the back of solid performances in the VFL.
David Ellard also comes into Carlton's line-up, while Bryce Gibbs is out suspended and Andrew Walker will miss the match to manage his ongoing knee concern.
Vice-captain Michael Jamison has been named as an emergency and is likely to spend a second week playing in the VFL.
Blaine Boekhorst and Jason Tutt have also been named as emergencies.
The match kicks off at 3.20pm on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
Don't forget it's a double-header this weekend, with the Northern Blues set to take on Frankston from midday in a VFL curtain raiser.
