It seems that the Blues are taking over the world!
Since the launch of Carlton's new online competition, the “How Blue Are You?” photo competition, our Facebook page has been swamped with images of Blues all around the world.
The photo to the right was sent in by Emily who explains that the shot "was taken as part of EMPLCC's (oldest Women's cricket club in the world) tour of India in May 2011".
From now until July, Blues supporters who believe they are the most die-hard will be able to prove it by posting a photo of themselves online showing why. And it will have to be pretty impressive; their peers will be judging them!
Entries so far include Blues in remote locations, Blues in their fan gear at the footy and even some supporters who have dedicated entire rooms in their homes to the Blues!
The prize on offer is a 2011 Carlton Football Club replica clash guernsey signed by the three Blues players who have been elected to the leadership group in 2011 - Bryce Gibbs, Marc Murphy and Jordan Russell.
The competition is run through the official Carlton Facebook site, which currently boasts over 70,000 members. Photos must be uploaded by July 15th after which the voting period will commence. Entrants are encouraged to show just how passionate they are; remember, the more over the top, the more likely you are to have people vote for you!
