Adelaide recruit Mitch McGovern was awarded the lowest number of the pack, with the 190cm forward to run out in the esteemed No.11 guernsey next year. The guernsey needs no introduction to Bluebaggers, having been made famous by Bruce Doull. With 356 games, four best and fairest awards and four premierships, Doull is an official Carlton Legend.
First-round draft pick Liam Stocker has been awarded the No.13 guernsey. Having arrived at Carlton late last week, the exciting midfielder will don the number of four members of the 100 club, including premiership player and Hall of Famer Mil Hanna.
Taken with pick No.1 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft, it's fitting that the No.18 guernsey will be worn by top draft pick Sam Walsh. With three 100-game players and two premiership players preceding him, Walsh will be intent on owning the future in 2019 and beyond.
History was made, and we were there the whole way.

After arriving in the trade and free agency period, Nic Newman and Alex Fasolo were presented with guernseys Nos.24 and 32 respectively. Newman's No.24 was home to two best and fairest winners - including Matthew Allan in 1999 - while Fasolo's No.32 has seen four premiership players, such as Hall of Famer Bryan Quirk.
Meanwhile, Xavier College schoolmates will be next to each other in the locker room, with Ben Silvagni taking No. 37 and Finbar O’Dwyer wearing No.38. Silvagni's number was made famous by the inaugural Norm Smith Medallist, Wayne Harmes.
Rookie draft pick Tomas Bugg takes on the No.40, while Matthew Owies (No.44) and Hugh Goddard (No.45) are nearby.
Finally, the No.43 synonymous with Anthony Koutoufides will be worn once again. From 2019, new recruit Will Setterfield will follow in the dual best and fairest winner's footsteps.
