FORMER Demon Oscar McDonald will train with the Carlton Football Club over the pre-season through the supplemental selection period.
A tall defender, McDonald played 81 games over six seasons at the Demons and averaged 13 disposals in his career, producing the most one percenters for Melbourne in 2017 and 2018.
McDonald will be joined by Zavier Maher and Callum Moore during the supplemental selection period.
Hailing from Shepparton, Maher will be hoping to earn a spot on an AFL list after missing out on selection in the 2020 NAB AFL Draft. An inside midfielder with a turn of speed, Maher finished in the top five in the 20-metre sprint at the Victorian draft combine.
Moore was delisted from Carlton after playing two games for the Club after joining the Blues from Richmond in 2020, with the 193cm marking forward playing eight games for the Tigers.
The supplemental selection period (SSP) will run from Wednesday 6 January to Tuesday 9 March.
