Carlton International Rookie Ciaran Byrne played his first ever Australian Rules football match on Sunday, in the AFL Victoria Development League. 

The 19-year-old former Gaelic footballer hails from Louth in Ireland, but showed he is fast becoming accustomed to Aussie rules. 

"Casey," as he has become known at Carlton, impressed with 11-possessions and three goals, helping the Development side to a 29-point win.
