CARLTON livewire Zac Fisher has inked a new two-year contract extension, committing his future to the Club.
Fisher will continue to excite the Carlton faithful until at least the end of the 2023 season.
The 22-year-old still had a year to run on his existing deal but did not hesitate to sign on to help the football club earn success in the coming seasons.
After three seasons of development through the midfield, Fisher showcased his eye-catching forward craft in 2020.
His four goals on return in Round 11 against the Eagles, following a four-month injury layoff, showed that the West Australian is more than capable of making the forward 50 his home.
Fisher also finished the 2020 season ranked above average among small forwards for tackles inside 50, pressure acts and metres gained.
Carlton Head of List Management Nick Austin said the Club was excited to see Fisher continue to emerge as a dynamic player for the Blues.
“This year Zac has shown his versatility and commitment to do everything he can to help this football club succeed,” Austin said.
“His ability to adapt to a new role up forward has added another aspect to his game and will be a real asset for our side moving forward.
“Our members and supporters enjoy seeing Zac electrify with his evasiveness and footy smarts. We look forward to seeing those traits and more for years to come at our football club.”
