THE team is in for Round 17, with Carlton making three changes for tomorrow’s clash against Adelaide.

Eddie Betts returns to take on his former side for the first time after six seasons at West Lakes.

Jack Martin has come from the side due to the calf injury which brought him from the ground in the win over Sydney, while Matthew Cottrell and Matt Owies have been omitted. Sam Docherty has been named to play after recovering from a minor calf knock from last week's victory.

Of course, Betts won’t be the only one with an Carlton-Adelaide connection, partnering Mitch McGovern in the forward line with Bryce Gibbs on the other side in his final AFL game.

The champion small forward has been joined by Michael Gibbons, as well as Lochie O’Brien in his first game of 2020.

O’Brien joins a list of Carlton players who have been directly rewarded for strong form at reserves level, impressing with his ball use and run playing on the wing.

Tom De Koning will once again take on ruck duties, with Levi Casboult, McGovern and Harry McKay to provide the focal points in attack.

And in yet another milestone in his extraordinary career, Kade Simpson will officially the top 20 in the AFL for games played: with tomorrow marking his 341st game, he surpasses Andrew McLeod. In doing so, he will also equal Chris Grant’s record in equal-19th.
