CARLTON has made four changes for tomorrow night’s match against Sydney — with a fourth AFL debutant for the season among them.
Matthew Owies will become the eighth player in 2020 to play his first game for Carlton, becoming player No.1217 in the process.
The small forward has worked his way into the line-up on the back of his goal kicking form at reserves level. He has kicked 21 goals from 10 games, with 11 of those coming in the last four matches.
Owies has been joined by David Cuningham, Tom De Koning and Lachie Plowman as the inclusions to the 22.
Cuningham will play his first game in over a month, having last played against Hawthorn, while De Koning and Plowman return after missing against GWS.
Eddie Betts and Marc Pittonet have been managed, while Paddy Dow and Cameron Polson have been omitted. Michael Gibbons continues to be managed with some groin soreness: at this stage, the Club is hopeful he will be available for selection in the next game.
Tomorrow’s Round 16 clash with commence at 8:10pm AEST.
