FOR the fifth time in seven games, Sam Walsh has been acknowledged by the coaches.
The reigning NAB AFL Rising Star picked up two votes for his showing against Collingwood on Sunday afternoon.
The 20-year-old was Carlton’s best performed in the 24-point loss, once again proving his wares on the wing.
Walsh collected 22 disposals and had 21 pressure acts at the Gabba, continuing a strong run of form over the last two months.
The second-year Blue also added to his recent goalkicking form, slotting a major in the first term: it was his sixth goal from his last seven appearances.
Walsh was the solitary Blue to poll in the Round 14 defeat, and now trails Jack Martin by only three votes for the most votes by any Blue in the 2020 AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.
