ENDING on a high.
Senior Coach has no doubt that Carlton will bring the heat against Fremantle on Saturday night.
It’s a non-negotiable for the Blues against the in-form Dockers, with both sides coming in with a 4-6 record.
“If our players continue to bring that effort, we’ve got to get better — there’s no doubt about it,” Teague said.
“I absolutely feel that we can win every game we go out there to play.”
With all of Carlton’s side training hard in the hub, picking the best 22 is becoming increasingly difficult for the coaching group.
Teague said the upcoming fixture frenzy would give Carlton the chance to bring its depth to the fore.
“We think we’ve got good depth, we’ve got guys ready to come in and get the job done,” he said.
“We look forward to that challenge, it will expose more of the talent we have on our list.”
Fremantle has been picking up their game in the second half of the season, with their good form catching the eye of Carlton’s Senior Coach.
“They’re going to be quite a challenge,” he said.
“The challenge is they’re very disciplined and their ability to defend has been strong, but our ability to score at times has as well.
“We feel if we play our way and go out there, we expect to get the result and get the win.”
Teague believes playing the game in their half and putting the pressure on defence can sway the advantage the Blues' way.
“We want to get the game played in our half and we’ll bring our strong pressure to support our backs: we need to make sure the ball coming in is pressured,” he said.
“I’ll back those guys in to get the job done.”
