The Carlton Football Club has made another exciting addition to its squad during the 2020 AFLW Sign and Trade period, welcoming wing/half forward Charlotte Hammans to Ikon Park.
The Blues completed a trade with the Suns that will see Hammans wear navy blue in exchange for pick No.56 overall in the 2020 NAB AFLW draft.
The 19-year-old was one of three inaugural AFLW signings for the Gold Coast in its first season, having enjoyed a stellar junior career, as evidenced by her four goals in five games for Queensland in the 2018 National Championships and selection in the Under 18 All-Australian squad.
She was also a rising star through her school football career, winning three Queensland State Championships for South Coast.
Hammans will bring elite skill, athleticism and speed to the Game Changers in 2021.
“Charlotte is a very talented footballer who we think has some exciting potential,” Brown said.
