TODAY, the home of women's footy will host the 2019 NAB League Girls Grand Final between the Northern Knights and Calder Cannons.
The match at Ikon Park will be filled with links to the Blues: in particular with the Northern Knights, which is stationed in Carlton’s Next Generation Academy zone.
Today’s Knights line-up will feature four Carlton VFLW-listed players in the side. Included is captain Gabrielle Newton, Britney Gutknecht, Pheobe Chisholm and Jamie Nelson.
All four girls will play in Carlton’s VFLW side this season after finishing with the Northern Knights and then Vic Metro, if selected.
We're delighted to announce the appointment of Ash Brown as our newest General Manager of Women's Football.

There will also be some familiar faces running around for the Calder Cannons as well, with Georgia Prespakis - the sister of Carlton AFLW Best and Fairest and NAB Rising Star Award winner Madison - wearing the No.41.
Carlton AFL midfielder Sam Petrevski-Seton’s cousin Krstel Petrevski will also be in action and has been a key player for the Cannons to make the Grand Final.
The Knights come into the Grand Final having not lost a game all season long, with their only blemish so far being a draw against the Oakleigh Chargers in Round 2.
For the Cannons, the road to the decider was slightly different, losing three games throughout the season before knocking off the Geelong Falcons to progress through.
The ball will bounce at Ikon Park at football’s traditional timeslot of 2pm.
