Andrew Carrazzo has finalised discussions with the Carlton Football Club that will see him remain with the Blues until the end of 2015.
The 2007 John Nicholls medal winner is in his tenth season at Carlton after joining the Club from Geelong via the 2004 Rookie Draft.
Carlton’s General Manager of Football, Andrew McKay said Carrazzo was a key signing for the Club.
“Andrew’s form last season was some of the best we have seen from him, so this is obviously a major win for the Club,” he said.
“He is highly regarded by everyone here at Carlton, and the fact he finished sixth in last year’s Best & Fairest even though he missed a large chunk of the season through injury, indicates how significant he is to our team.”
Elected to Carlton’s leadership group again in 2013, Carrazzo was awarded life membership by the Club at the end of 2011 for his dedicated service.
The 29 year old made his Carlton debut in Round 21 vs Melbourne, 2004 and has played 154 AFL career games to date.
