Chris Judd and Marc Murphy might have missed out on football’s most coveted individual award, but they can take comfort in the moral support afforded them by the Navy Blue rank and file through the Brownlow Medal count on Monday night.

More than 80 members and supporters turned out in force at Visy Park, to cheer on “Juddy” and “Murph”, as they watched the count unfold on the big screen within the confines of the George Harris Function Room.

Earlier, they had enjoyed a three-course meal and heard from resident Carlton key defender Michael Jamison, who revealed that he had just undergone successful post-season surgery on his left knee, and was preparing to jet out to Bali to act as MC at the wedding of teammate Jarrad Waite.
