Carlton has made three changes to the team that will take on Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night, with Andrew McInnes set to make his senior debut. McInnes will become the 1138th player to represent Carlton in the AFL when he makes his debut wearing the number 26 guernsey.

McInnnes has been elevated after a succession of encouraging performances for the Northern Blues. He has been included in the 22 with Ed Curnow and Andrew Collins both earning senior recall.

Making way for McInnes, Curnow and Collins is Robert Warnock, David Ellard and Josh Bootsma who have all been omitted and will play for the Northern Blues against Frankston at Frankston on Sunday at 2:00pm.

Notwithstanding the four points, Carlton and Collingwood will be competing for the Peter Mac Cup.

Based on an idea from the long-serving Carlton patron and number one ticket holder, Sam Smorgon, the Peter Mac Cup was founded in 1993 and is acknowledged as the first “charity game” featured on the AFL calendar.

It was established as a means of raising funds and awareness for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, which provides outstanding patient care, research and education to the people of Victoria.
