Yarran's goal nominated
Chris Yarran's brilliant goal against Richmond is officially in the running to be the AFL's Goal of the Year.
After receiving a handball from Chris Judd, Yarran exploded along the boundary line towards the Punt Road goals.
He beat one opponent, brushed past Steven Morris, straightened himself and threaded the eye of the needle.
The goal, which came at the 13 minute mark of the final quarter, proved a team lifter, with the Blues slamming on the next six goals to eventually win by 44-points.
