In keeping with the desire to provide the best facilities for the premier membership category, in 2012 Captains Club members will have reserved seating on Level 2 at both Etihad Stadium and the MCG.
The decision to allocate the reserved seating on Level 2, the best seats in the venue, for Captains Club members follows an increasing demand, including a waiting list, for Level 2 seating with no reserved seats currently available for new Captains Club members on this level.
All Carlton members with Level 2 seating in 2011 have received communication from the Club in relation to the changes to the premium seating category.
Importantly all members who have previously had a reserved seat on Level 2 and are not a Captains Club Member will be given first opportunity to upgrade to the Captains Club and retain their existing reserved seat.
This opportunity will be available until December 16, after which time members on the waiting list will have the first opportunity to become Captains Club Members with reserved seating on Level 2, before opening up this category to other members.
The 2012 Membership renewal forms will be sent to members next week, on Thursday November 10 and Friday November 11. This will provide further details to those members who currently have reserved seating on Level 2 including the opportunity to upgrade to a Captains Club Member, before December 16 to retain their existing Level 2 seat.
Those who do not wish to upgrade will be given first opportunity to the best available seats on either Level 1 or 3.
Below is an indication of the price increase from Football Gold (renamed in 2012 to Members Reserve Member) to Captains Club Member:

In addition to the reserved seating, other benefits for Captains Club Members include guaranteed access to purchase a Grand Final ticket should Carlton participate, access to the Captains Club room at both venues and the opportunity to purchase guest passes for the Captains Club room.
2012 Membership Renewal forms will be sent to member on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 November.
