Jarrad Waite will miss Carlton’s next two matches after the Club decided to accept the decision of the match review panel and  take an early plea rather than risk a possible three-game suspension by taking the case to the tribunal.

Waite was charged with a Level Two engaging in rough conduct offence against Paul Duffield during the final quarter of last Saturday night’s match against Fremantle.

The incident was assessed by the match review panel as negligent conduct of medium impact and high contact. This resulted in five activation points; a Level Two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match suspension. Waite has an existing bade record of three matches suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 30% to 292.5 points. He also has 68.13 points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 360,63 points and a three-match sanction.

By accepting the decision and taking the early plea, the sanction is reduced by 25% to 270.47 points and a two-match sanction.
