Marc Murphy has taken on a special cause to help raise funds for Mens Health. Marc is an ambassador for Blue September and he is aiming to raise $15,000 by Father’s Day.

“All Carlton supporters know what our goal is this September and that is what we are striving for. Off the ground I have another important goal and I am hoping everyone is able to support this important campaign”, Murphy said at Visy Park this week.

“I am hoping supporters get behind my quest to raise over $15,000 for Blue September in 2012. This is a really important campaign.

“With one in two guys being affected by cancer, we’re losing too many dads, Grand dads and mates to this disease. It makes sense to think about this as we get closer to Father’s Day and that is why I am hoping to raise as much money as possible before our last home and away game of the season against St Kilda on Sunday September 2nd, Father’s Day,” added Murphy.

Marc will be assisted in his quest by a number of his teammates and there will be a number of great prizes to be given away thanks to Hyundai who have also provided great support to the Blue September campaign.

Blue September raises awareness about cancers that affect thousands of Australian men each year, which may be preventable through lifestyle choices.

Everyone can be involved in this special campaign.

“I’m hoping everyone will get behind me and help raise money for this great cause,” said Murphy.
