Carlton players will be ‘donating’ over $13,000 to the AFL following the findings of the Match Review Panel today.

Charges have been laid against nine Carlton players following the melee during the quarter time break of the 96-point victory over Essendon at the MCG on Saturday. And if accepted with an early plea, the fines will total $13,500.

•    Mitch Robinson - $2,100
•    Andrew Carrazzo - $1,200
•    Andrew Walker - $1,200
•    Andrew McInnes - $1,200
•    Eddie Betts - $1,200
•    Dennis Armfield - $1,200
•    Brock McLean - $1,200

The $2,100 fines are for a second offence for being involved in a melee, $2,800 sanction reduced to $2,100 with an early plea.

The $1,200 fines are for a first offence for being involved in a melee, $1,600 sanction reduced to $1,200 with an early plea.

Adding to the AFL ‘fundraising’ from the match, eight Essendon players have also been charged for being involved in the melee with their fines totaling $12,300 if accepted with an early plea. Patrick Ryder topping the list with a $3,000 fine for a third offence for being involved in a melee ($4,000 reduced to $3,000 with an early plea).
