Carlton captain Chris Judd has pulled up well after playing in his first pre-season match for 2012 and is looking forward to Sunday’s game against North Melbourne at Visy Park.

“I played about 70% of the game time and pulled up really well, no problems at all. It was good to be out there playing,” Judd told CFC TV at Visy Park on Monday morning.

Agreeing with the comments made by Brett Ratten after the game that he was a little ‘rusty’, Judd said it is always a big step from training to actually playing a game but overall he was happy. He also said it was great to see Jarrad Waite, Nick Duigan and Andrew Walker play their first games for 2012 in Saturday’s match at Maroochydore.

“This week’s team against North Melbourne will be starting to look more like the team that will run out in round one,” Judd said referring to the expected return a number of key players, including Murphy, Gibbs, Simpson, Kreuzer, Robinson, Betts, Henderson, Scotland, Carrazzo and Garlett for Sunday’s final pre-season game at Visy Park.

“Importantly, the focus will continue to be on preparing for the season so game time will continue to be a key for individual players on Sunday,” Judd added.

Carlton supporters will be able to see Judd in action for the first time in Melbourne for 2012 in Sunday’s final pre-season game when the Blues play North Melbourne at Visy Park.
