White to miss with hamstring injury
Simon White is the one change to date from the side that was too good for Richmond last weekend
Simon White, who injured his hamstring in last Saturday’s big victory over Richmond, is the only player from last week’s team who is not in the 25-man squad for this Sunday’s match against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
Nick Duigan has returned to the side after missing two matches with a calf injury and he has been named in the starting 18, replacing the injured White. Brock McLean, Paul Bower and Aaron Joseph are the other three players who did not play last week, that have been named in the squad. All three are listed on the extended interchange bench.
The final 22 will be named on Friday evening.
Brett Ratten confirmed in a media conference at lunchtime today that Duigan would be included in the side. He said that Duigan had played the most game-time of any player for the season before he was injured and the break would not do him any harm.
Ratten also confirmed that Ed Curnow will resume playing this weekend after missing two matches. Curnow will play for the Northern Bullants in Saturday’s match at 1:10pm against Sandringham at the Trevor Barker Oval. This match will be live on ABC TV in Victoria.
