After a quiet first week of the Free Agency period, Carlton confirmed today that it expected to remain quiet throughout the next two weeks of the Trade Period.

“Contrary to a number of media reports and speculation we are very pleased with how our list is looking and do not expect to be overly active during either the Free Agency or the Trade Periods," Carlton’s General Manager of Football, Andrew McKay said.

“If there was a player that could improve our team, it would be discussed, however we are really happy with the mix of young and experienced players on our list and as such we have not been, and do not plan to be very active.”

McKay's comments reaffirm Carlton's position in relation to the Trade Periods as stated by Carlton Coach Mick Malthouse in a recent interview with CFC TV in which he said he was happy with how the Blues list was placed going into the 2013 season.

“We will be making minimal changes and will be very selective. We will be relatively quiet and certainly not as active as the media are suggesting,” Malthouse said.
