Blues to head West
Carlton will head to Perth to play West Coast in a knock-out semi-final in Perth on Saturday, September 17.
The Blues won their way to the second week of AFL Finals action with a 62-point victory over Essendon in the Elimination Final at the MCG on Sunday in what was Carlton’s first finals appearance in Melbourne for 10 years.
Tickets for Saturday’s final will go on sale at 9:00am (WA Time) for Club Members, with a limit of one ticket per membership. For ticketing details click here.
Carlton is hosting a supporters’ function prior to Saturday’s game. The function includes premium seating for the game at Patersons Stadium and pre-game food, refreshments and entertainment. The Carlton team will travel to Perth on Thursday and will train on Friday at 11AM at the WACA in preparation for Saturday’s semi-final against West Coast at Paterson Stadium (Subiaco) at 5:50pm (WA Time).
Saturday will be third final between these two teams with the Eagles winning the first every final between the teams with a 55-point victory in a Qualifying Final in 1996. IN the semi-final in 1999 Carlton were far too good for the Eagles at the MCG, enjoying a 54-point victory on their way to a Grand Final appearance.
