A NAB Cup premiership was the result of a well prepared pre-season for the Carlton team and thanks to our apparel sponsor Nike the players had a hidden advantage during the four NAB Cup games in 2007. A number of players, including Brendan Fevola, Tuck Medallist Nick Stevens and Cameron Cloke wore the Nike Pro tops beneath their guernseys in a number of the pre-season matches.

The Nike Pro tops are a compression fit that are designed to increase the efficiency of the muscle by reducing muscle vibration and oscillation which in turn reduces energy loss and muscle fatigue. The Nike Pro is made from Nike FIT Dry fabric and it wicks moisture away from the skin to make the garment as dry and light as possible.

At the final training session prior to the NAB Cup Grand Final all the Carlton players wore the Nike Pro tops in the warm up and all agreed they were comfortable and they will wear them during the season. At this session the players wore the Nike Pro Camo range (as in camouflage), however during games the players wear the navy colour with the v-neck so it is not visible.
