CARLTON forward Mitch McGovern has been charged with striking by the Match Review Officer.
The incident occurred in a collision with Port Adelaide’s Kane Farrell with eight minutes remaining in the first quarter.
The MRO graded the incident as careless conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a $1,500 fine: it can be reduced to $1,000 with an early guilty plea.
The Club has until midday on Tuesday to respond to the charge.
