The game in focus:
After being outclassed by an in-form St Kilda last weekend, Carlton will be looking to return to its winning ways against the Western Bulldogs this Sunday evening.
While the Blues technically are the ‘home team’, both sides will be playing in unique conditions in Queensland after spending their first week in the Gold Coast hub.
Looking to get a third win under their belt, the Blues will rely on their competitive midfield to shut out a deep Western Bulldogs on-ball brigade.
The return of Matthew Kennedy should add some inside grunt and positional versatility on a day where wet weather is forecast at Metricon Stadium.

Last time we met:
The last time the Blues met the Bulldogs was in Round 13 last year, where they fell by just three points after trailing by over five goals on two separate occasions.
Bluebaggers might also remember this night as the night Charlie Curnow kicked a bag of seven: the Blues will have to cater for his absence on Sunday night.
Sam Walsh was also a standout, gathering 22 disposals in the midfield, while Jacob Weitering and Kade Simpson provided solid showings down back.
It evened up the 2019 record between the two sides at one apiece, after the Blues accounted for the Dogs by 44 points in Round 5.
Blue focus:
Lachie Plowman will play his 100th AFL game this Sunday, having missed just 10 games since his Navy Blue debut in 2016.
Facing a strong Bulldogs forward line, Plowman and his defensive line will be looking to shut down the scoring power of the likes of Josh Bruce and Josh Schache.
Carlton fans will also have a chance to view live footy for the first time this year, with Queensland fans able to attend the match.

Cripps versus Bontempelli. It writes itself.
Senior Coach David Teague forecast that the two midfield guns would inevitably spend some time against one another, providing some essential Sunday night viewing.
