CARLTON will be back in prime time this week with the AFL announcing this week’s Round 5 fixture against St Kilda has been moved to Thursday night.  The game was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

This means that Thursday night’s game against the Saints will now be broadcast live and free on Channel Seven as well as on Fox Footy.

It will also now be played at Marvel Stadium, instead of the MCG.

Carlton CEO Cain Liddle said the fixture change was another example of the resilience the Club was willing to show during this unique 2020 season.

“It is certainly a rare situation to have a game brought forward at such short notice but our players and coaches went into this season very clear that we would need to be agile and prepared for anything.  Come Thursday night, we will be ready to go,” Liddle said.

“This is a terrific result for our members and supporters who will now be able to watch the game on free-to-air or Fox Footy, as well as in a prime timeslot on a Thursday night.

“As we’ve said all along, all clubs share the responsibility to get 17 rounds of football and finals away in 2020.  Our football department has handled every challenge thrown their way so far this season with professionalism and resilience and we know that this week will be no different.”
