Carlton secured its first victory in the lead-up to the inaugural AFL Women's competition, defeating Melbourne 8.4.52 to 1.3.9 at Ikon Park on Saturday.
It was the Blues' first AFLW practice match ahead of their season opener against Collingwood at Olympic Park Oval on 3 February.
