Carlton players have hit the training track hard this week, determined to learn from their heartbreaking loss to Essendon.
The Blues face another tough challenge on Friday night, against Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium.
Coach Mick Malthouse says he's focused on ensuring each player knows their role.
"We take away the result and we look at the process. I know that's simplistic, but you can't beat sides like Hawthorn by just thinking we're going to turn up and play football. We have to play football that's thinking football, acknowledging their strengths, and understanding that we have our own strengths."
Carlton could regain Rob Warnock and Andrew Carrazzo from injury.
But Patrick McCarthy will be added to the long-term injury list after a recurring problem flared in his foot.
Meanwhile it’s a big week for a Carlton champion, with Chris Judd set to play his 250th AFL match.
