Jaryd's ethnic connection
Jaryd Cachia fulfilled a personal dream on Thursday night when he presented comedian Joe Avati with a Blues guernsey.
Avati is currently on tour in Melbourne with his show The Good, The Bad and The Ethnic.
During the week, Avati spotted Carlton's own Jaryd Cachia in the audience, laughing hysterically.
Cachia says he enjoyed the show immensely, because Avati's comedy resonated with his childhood.
"I like being able to have a laugh at my Maltese background too, so I got a good kick out of seeing the stereotypes being portrayed in a comedy. I highly recommend people see the show – it's hilarious!"
At the conclusion of Avati's show, Cachia presented him with his number 37 Carlton guernsey, hoping that he might convince the Sydney comedian to become a Blues supporter.
