On the field, Zach Tuohy plays with an urgency and vigour that complements his strong 187cm and 91kg frame, whilst off the field he enjoys listening to Stevie Wonder in the car and hanging out with his husky.
We caught up with our very own Irishman and put him On The Spot.
What were your first impressions of Australia?
My first visit to Australia was a few years ago, towards the end of the footy season. Considering I was going to Australia, I had only packed shorts, t-shirts and "flip-flops". I remember visiting Ballarat to watch the VFL side play - it was the coldest I have ever been in my life! I thought that I would be coming over to nothing but 40 degree heat. It was a pretty ordinary first impression, but I do love it here now.
How often do you go back to Ireland?
I go back to Ireland twice a year, during the off-season and and for Christmas. I am pretty lucky that I get to go back so often.
What's your opinion on the Carlton boys and their fashion?
All of Nick Duigan's clothes are older than he is. And Ed Curnow won't wear anything that hasn't previously been owned by ten or twelve people.
What music are you currently listening to?
The CD's in my car are all pretty old school. I go through stages of Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers. I like a bit of rap too. Actually, Frank Sinatra was a CD I treated myself to recently.
When you are not playing football, what are you doing?
I have got a dog that I am quite smitten with, so I spend a lot of time with him. And I also like playing on my X-BOX.
