Carlton players took to a field of a different kind today, turning out for a father and son bowls day at the North Fitzroy Bowls Club.
One of the fiercest rivalries in lawn bowls was born, as the Judds and the Simpsons took on the Hendersons and the Carrazzos.
Kade Simpson and Lachie Henderson showed their silky skills are not limited to the football field, while Matthew Kreuzer voted teammate Andrew Collins the best on ground.
Andrew Carrazzo's father Peter says the day offers a rare chance for fathers to take time out with their sons during the busy football season.
"It's great to see the boys enjoying themselves and relaxing away from football. The day has also been a fantastic bonding opportunity for parents."
