Dale Thomas is set to play his first match in the navy blue in Saturday's NAB Challenge clash with North Melbourne in Ballarat.
After returning to full training and impressing over the pre-season, Thomas has been named in a 29-man squad.
Fellow new Blues Patrick Cripps, Andrejs Everitt, Cameron Wood, and Blaine Johnson have also been named to play.
Skipper Marc Murphy will lead the side in his second year as captain, with new leadership group members Andrew Walker, Bryce Gibbs and Brock McLean to be by his side.
The match kicks off at Eureka Stadium at 4.40pm AEST Saturday 15 February.
