The Carlton Football Club is supporting The Jodi Lee Foundation’s #iknowsome1 campaign for the second year running, to raise awareness of bowel cancer at the Round 20 game against the Gold Coast Suns – and we need your help!

If you or someone you know has been affected by bowel cancer, you can join AFL greats to support the campaign on www.iknowsome1.com.au simply by using the hashtag #iknowsome1 on Twitter or Instagram.

The most creative selfie will win an iPad Mini valued at $500, plus if you tag @CarltonFC in your post, you could win the opportunity to run out with the team as the junior mascot at this weekend’s game.

Captain Marc Murphy has shown his support after hearing the powerful story behind The Jodi Lee Foundation, and the work it does to prevent bowel cancer.

“It’s scary to think that 17,000 Australians will be diagnosed with bowel cancer this year alone,” Murphy said.

“Taking a screening test is really simple and it could save your life, so I urge people of all ages to get themselves checked."

Bowel cancer can be treated or even prevented if detected early through simple and regular screening.
